Silicon Rubber

One of silicon rubber / silicone rubber superiority is stable at wide range temperature i.e. from -100°C to 250°C. Long lasting Silicon Rubber performance is exceeding many other organic elastomer. If compared to Natural Rubber, Silicon rubber has better fire resistant properties and an excellent electrical insulator. Properties like volume resistivity, dielectric strength and power factor are not affected by temperature change. This is called thermal stability. Silicon is safe for food industries as it has food grade properties.

Examples of silicon rubber application i.e. expansion seal, seal for windows and doors, O Ring, Oven seal, etc. Silicone tubes are also widely used as food grade hose at cow farm or milk manufacturer to transfer milk.
